Three simple tests to confirm your honey is real and unadulterated.
Dip a spoon and lift it. Pure honey forms a thick, slow-dripping string that does not break easily. Adulterated honey drips quickly and watery.
Drop a teaspoon into a glass of cold water. Pure honey sinks to the bottom and does not dissolve immediately. Diluted honey disperses right away.
Pure honey crystallises naturally over time (especially in winter). This is a sign of quality – NOT spoilage. Processed honey rarely crystallises.
Dip a matchstick in honey and strike it. Pure honey is flammable and the match lights. Honey with added water will not ignite easily.
Natural antioxidants and phytonutrients strengthen the immune system with daily use.
Hydrogen peroxide produced by honey's enzymes makes it a natural antiseptic for minor cuts.
Raw honey inhibits bacterial growth – effective against E. coli, Staphylococcus, and Salmonella.
Natural sugars (fructose + glucose) provide sustained energy – ideal pre-workout or morning boost.
A teaspoon of warm honey with ginger and tulsi soothes throat irritation and reduces cough.
Honey triggers release of melatonin in the brain – a teaspoon at night improves sleep quality.
Most commercial honey sold in Indian supermarkets has been heated above 70°C to prevent crystallisation and improve appearance. This process destroys over 80% of the natural enzymes, pollen, antioxidants, and antimicrobial compounds that make honey medicinal. Some brands add sugar syrup or HFCS (High Fructose Corn Syrup) – a practice that FSSAI has been actively cracking down on.
TR Organic Seeds Natural sources raw, unprocessed honey directly from beekeepers and forest apiaries across Maharashtra, Bihar, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh. The honey is cold-strained (not heated) to remove wax and debris while preserving all natural enzymes, propolis, and pollen. We never add sugar, water, or any adulterants.
Each variety has a distinct floral character based on the dominant flower nectar: Multi-flora honey has a complex flavour with notes of wildflowers; Tulsi honey is light golden with a faint herbal note; Neem honey has a characteristic pleasant bitterness with demonstrated benefits for blood sugar management; Litchi honey is the lightest in colour with delicate floral notes; Ajwain honey has a warm, slightly pungent finish excellent for digestion.
