🟡Our Cold Pressed Mustard Oil is extracted from premium black mustard seeds (Brassica nigra) grown in Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh, using the traditional Kachhi Ghani stone-press method at temperatures below 40°C.
Mustard oil has been the cooking fat of choice across North and East India for thousands of years — and for good reason. Its distinctive pungent aroma (from allyl isothiocyanate) signals that the oil is genuinely cold-pressed and unrefined. Refined mustard oil is deodorised, removing this beneficial compound entirely.
Omega-3 Content: Cold pressed mustard oil contains 5–6% alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), making it one of the richest plant-based sources of Omega-3 in Indian cooking oils. Regular consumption supports heart health, reduces systemic inflammation, and improves arterial elasticity.
Traditional Uses: Used for tadka, pickle-making (achaar), massage, hair oil, and even as a warming agent in traditional cold-weather cooking. Its high smoke point (250°C) makes it suitable for deep frying, though its flavour shines brightest in light frying and tempering.
