We source our turmeric from Lakadong, Meghalaya — a variety known to have the highest curcumin content (6-9%) among all Indian turmeric varieties, compared to 1-3% in ordinary market turmeric. Curcumin is the active compound responsible for turmeric's anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and immune-modulating benefits.
Most commercial turmeric powders use low-curcumin filler varieties or add artificial yellow colour (tartrazine, Metanil Yellow) to make them appear richer. Our turmeric gets its deep golden colour from naturally high curcumin — no colour added, ever.
